Two Korean women who served as sex slaves for the Japanese military during World War Two have lodged a libel suit with a U.S. court against the Japanese government and seven Japanese enterprises.

The two former "comfort women", including Yoo Hee-Nam have taken legal action with the Northern Federal District Court of California.

They also demanded an apology and 20 million dollars each in compensation from the defendants, including former Japanese emperor Hirohito and seven Japanese enterprises, whom they accused of having defamed them.
