Ha Ji-won, who expanded her career from an actor to an artist, sold out her work at the "2024 KIAF" for the first time.

Ha Ji-won participated as an artist in the "2024 Kiaf Seoul (Korea International Art Fair)" held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul from the 4th to August, and submitted her art work through the Snow Gallery in Japan.

Ha Ji-won made her Kiap debut at the suggestion of the Japanese Snow Contemporary, who encountered her work in the previous exhibition, and the Snow Contemporary reportedly learned that Ha Ji-won was an actor only during the preparation for the Kiap exhibition.

Ha Ji-won took her first step into Kiaf with the "Paper" series, which expresses various sketches on white paper, including "VIRTUAL VENUS," a representative work that captures bold touches on a black canvas. The works redefine the confusion we all experience beyond individual lives from the perspective of "coexistence," and contain the message that the most fundamental "coexistence with oneself" is needed before coexistence with someone.

In particular, "VIRTUAL VENUS" was praised by the audience for its strong brush touch and color, and Ha Ji-won's entire work was sold out within two days of the exhibition, receiving choices from a wide range of collectors at home and abroad.

Ha Ji-won, who revealed his presence to the public from actors to artists with his propaganda in Kiap, said, "I didn't know that it would be sold out from the first Kiap. I am very happy, and I sincerely thank the collectors for choosing my work, he said. "I will work harder in the future to communicate with the public actively through painting."

Starting with holding his first solo exhibition "Hajiwon: The Beginning of a Relationship" at APY Art Project Y in April 2023, Ha Ji-won participated in "Exchange 展," a participatory exhibition for art enjoyment and ownership, and held "Pink Drawing: Coexistence Coexistence" at KG Tower Gallery Line in Jung-gu, Seoul in May.
