A group of people who hid cigarettes that had been turned into domestic ones on the urethane floor were arrested.

The Incheon headquarters of the Korea Customs Service said it has detected five smugglers and sent them to the prosecution without detention on charges of violating customs laws and trademark laws.

They were found to have tricked into importing building urethane materials from China, creating a space inside the floorboards and bringing in counterfeit goods.

These smuggled products include 83,000 packs of counterfeit Korean cigarettes, 110,000 fake impotence treatments from China, and 1 ton of green beans, with a market value of 7.3 billion won.

The investigation found that the two people who led the smuggling were a married couple, and after reporting the import under someone else's name, they recruited transportation and transported them through various places.

The customs office said smuggling of illegal and counterfeit goods was a grave crime that threatened public health and disrupted the fair distribution order, and stressed that it would step up the crackdown.
