The Israeli military issued a statement at around 7:50 a.m. local time, saying it had begun a limited, local and targeted "ground raid" based on accurate information about Hezbollah terror targets.
The Israeli military said the target was located in a village near the border and posed an immediate threat to communities in northern Israel.
It also said that the "Arrow to the North" operation declared against Hezbollah on the 23rd of last month would continue on the assessment of the situation.
Earlier, Israeli forces declared and blocked the northern border area as a military restriction zone, and have entered Lebanon with artillery support and are fighting.
