At around 5:10 p.m. today (1st), two anglers were swept away by the waves near the so-called 'Sunnyeo-tang' on the Hwangji Coast in Seohong-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do.
One came out of the water, but the other hasn't been found yet.
The Coast Guard has deployed three patrol boats and is searching for missing people with fire and police.
A Coast Guard official said the missing person did not appear to be wearing a life jacket, and explained that the search was difficult due to high waves in the area of the accident.
