The opposition party staged a sit-in rally in front of the National Assembly's main office to pressure President Yoon Suk Yeol to accept the special prosecution.

The Democratic Party of Korea criticized the prosecutors who investigated representative Lee Jae-myung, saying that the power of the people is an incitement to retaliate against the judicial order.

On Armed Forces Day, five opposition parties, including the Democratic Party of Korea, continued a sit-in protest calling for the acceptance of controversial bills such as the Special Prosecutor Act on Corporal Chae and the Special Prosecutor Act on First Lady Kim Gun-hee.

He pointed out that the commander-in-chief's duty is to clarify suspicions surrounding the death of a young Marine, saying that our military's most valuable asset is not weapons but soldiers.

[Han Min-soo / Minjoo Party spokesman: A security posture is not something that can be achieved by mobilizing military assets to show off on a march. You must remember the sacrifices of Marines who failed to return to their family's arms.]

He criticized the president for his backward politics, saying, "Did you already decide to use your veto power and make a dinner appointment with the ruling party members separately in preparation for the re-vote of the National Assembly?"

He said it was a clear conflict of interest to reject the special prosecution involving himself and his family, and if he didn't, he said he was an accomplice.

[Jeon Hyun-hee / Rep. of Democratic Party of Korea (SBS Radio's "Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show") : Let's take this opportunity to get rid of the Kim Gun-hee independent counsel law. I understand that there are many lawmakers who are worried that the government can be in danger without resolving this issue.]

Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, repeatedly appealed for innocence, saying that the prosecution, which demanded a three-year prison term for perjury, maliciously edited the call recording, which is key evidence.

The opposition legislators pressed Park to appear a day before the impeachment hearing of Park Sang-yong, who investigated the Ssangbangwool remittance case.

[Lee Kun-tae / Democratic Party member: Prosecutor Park Sang-yong's conciliatory and threatening situation in former Lieutenant Governor Lee Hwa-young's prison note is very specific and realistic]

The People's Power criticized the Democratic Party for even denying judicial order to cover up the risk of Lee Jae-myung's trial and instigating the independent counsel and impeachment.

The Democratic Party of Korea argues that linking the independent counsel Kim and Chae to the representative Lee's trial is a watering down, so the public opinion battle between the ruling and opposition parties is getting fiercer.
