Former U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said of Iran's missile attacks targeting Israel that if he were president, this would not have happened.

Former President Trump said in a post on his social media that the war was completely preventable and should not have happened.

He also insisted that it did not happen while he was president, saying, "Look at the missiles flying in the Middle East and what is happening in Russia and Ukraine."

Earlier, former President Trump issued a statement just before Iran's missile launch, saying the world is burning and in a spiral out of control, that we have no leadership and no one is running the country.
