The Ministry of Personnel Management today (2nd) unveiled a comprehensive plan to enhance personnel autonomy, which includes 25 tasks, including creating friendly working conditions for childbirth and rearing.
Previously, the first child's parental leave was recognized for up to a year, and the period of up to three years of leave from the second onwards was reflected in the work experience for promotion.
The Ministry of Personnel Management also plans to increase the allowance for collectively paying 80% of the salary during parental leave to up to 100% of the salary by dividing the period of leave into 3, 6, and 12 months.
In addition, public officials with children under the age of 8 or in the second grade of elementary school can use childcare hours up to two hours a day in the range of 36 months.
To this end, the Ministry of Personnel Management plans to revise seven laws and three regulations, including the Civil Service Appointment Decree.
