Foreign Ministry spokesman Lee Jae-woong said in a regular briefing today that the situation in the Middle East is becoming increasingly unstable and that we strongly recommend that South Koreans staying there leave the country as soon as possible by using available flights or ships.
At the same time, the government explained that it is actively taking necessary measures for the safety of our people.
However, he added that it is still difficult to reveal specific measures for the withdrawal of Korean residents.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that 130 Korean residents are currently staying in Lebanon, as well as 110 in Iran and 480 in Israel.
