According to the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation's agricultural product distribution information, the retail price of a cabbage product as of today (2nd) was 9,200 won, down 460 won from the previous trading day, but it was 33% higher than a year ago.
Radish was 3,859 won per piece, up 50% from a year ago, and spinach and red lettuce also jumped by around 50% during the same period.
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Song Mi-ryeong said on YTN radio "Wise Radio Life" today (2nd) that supply and demand are stable for items other than cabbage and radish among the 14 kimchi ingredients, but plans to announce a plan to stabilize supply and demand within this month.
