Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea emphasized the importance of finding talent for the next presidential election, saying that the first factor for taking power is a person.

Lee attended the first meeting of the party's talent committee and said, "I think we need to train talent with a more systematic and systematic long-term perspective," adding, "We formed the committee with a small number of elite members as the committee's activities are important."

Lawmaker Chung Sung-ho, who chaired the committee, also stressed that although many talents came in during the last presidential and general elections, they were not systematically managed, and that he would recruit and organize talents from inside and outside the party to ensure that they were authorized.

Spokesman Hwang Jung-ah told reporters after a closed-door meeting that he would consider a person recruited to the party during the last election as the primary candidate for the upcoming local election, and also recruit competitive and competent people.
