The official election campaign for the re- and by-elections, which will take place on the 16th, began today (3rd).

In the election to select Yeonggwang County Governor in Jeollanam-do, candidates held an opening ceremony and began a full-fledged campaign.

Reporter Na Hyun-ho visited the re-election site of Yeonggwang County, where a fierce three-way battle between the Democratic Party of Korea, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party and the Progressive Party is taking place.

On the first day of the official election campaign for Yeonggwang-gun County, all-out campaigning at the central party level began, centering on the general bus terminal.

First of all, Democratic Party candidate Jang Sae-il made a pledge to create a "health welfare town" for the elderly in line with the super-aged society.

It also said it will expand the agricultural product price guarantee system and promote experience and stay-at-home tourism attraction projects.

Candidate Jang Hyun of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party promised to become a clean county chief without corruption and solicitation, such as installing CCTVs in the county office.

It also announced that it would attract large companies and data centers and create a job-rich honor.

[Jang Hyun / Candidate for Yeonggwang County, Cho Kuk Innovation Party: I have a lot of preparations in the meantime. It is a ready worker who can do local work, including administration, public institutions, social organizations, and the media.

Progressive Party candidate Lee Seok-ha plans to push for the establishment of a "our village nursing home" for the west coast railway and local seniors.

It also promised to establish a public hospital for children to ease concerns about childcare in a poor medical environment.

[Lee Seok-ha / Progressive Party candidate for Yeonggwang-gun: 52,000 county residents live in Yeonggwang-gun. For those who have protected this place, those who have protected it, and those who will protect it, I will give my whole life to the military government.

In addition, independent candidate Oh Ki-won is appealing for votes, saying he will realize transparent administration.

A recent poll found that all three candidates, except for independent candidates, had early 30% approval ratings, making it a close race within the margin of error.

Competition to take the lead in an ultra-close situation has intensified, leading to a complaint.
