In Singapore, he will deliver a speech on the theme of "Unification Vision for the Indo-Pacific of Freedom, Peace and Prosperity," which is expected to be the first opportunity to explain the meaning of the August 15 reunification doctrine to overseas audiences.

Soon after, President Yoon will move to Vientiane, Laos, where the ASEAN summit will be held.

From the 10th, he will attend the ASEAN-Korea Summit, the ASEAN+Korea-Japan Summit, and the East Asia Summit.

A senior presidential official said the two sides are holding bilateral talks on the premise that the Japanese prime minister will attend the ASEAN summit.

The presidential office emphasized that the trip will serve as a new opportunity to expand Korea-ASEAN relations in all directions, promoting multi-layered cooperation with ASEAN and further strengthening cooperation with ASEAN, Korea, China, and Japan.
