Israeli forces have ordered introductions to residents of 25 villages in southern Lebanon, local media reported.

According to the Times of Israel, the three-day local time order included not only Navatier, the largest city in southern Lebanon, but also the town north of the Ritani River for the first time.

Earlier, the Israeli military warned residents of 24 villages in southern Lebanon on the 2nd and 28 on the 1st to evacuate north and not move south of the Ritani River.

The U.N. Security Council voted in 2006 to ban Hezbollah from the south of the Ritani River after an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah.

Israeli forces reportedly plan to push Hezbollah north of the Ritani River.

Hezbollah, meanwhile, claimed it repelled Israeli forces trying to cross the border through a Fatima checkpoint in southern Lebanon by shelling.

Lebanon's military says a soldier was killed in an Israeli attack in the town of Taibe, about 4 kilometers from the Fatima checkpoint.

The Lebanese Red Cross explained that the dead soldier was on a mission to escort the wounded.

It is the first time that Lebanese government forces have been killed since Israeli forces entered the Lebanese border on the 30th of last month and operated on the ground.

The Red Cross also added that four medical personnel were injured in the bombing.
