Coast Guard seizes 2 Chinese fishing boats for 'illegal fishing' and evicts 28 vessels

A Chinese fishing boat that was fishing illegally in Incheon was caught by the Coast Guard.

The Central Coast Guard yesterday (3rd) seized two Chinese fishing boats engaged in illegal fishing in waters southwest of Socheongdo Island in Ongjin County, Incheon, and evicted 28 fishing boats.

When the Coast Guard launched a crackdown, the crew members were found to have attempted to escape by connecting the fishing boats to each other and jumping sideways.

The Coast Guard says it is responding with a strong crackdown as the number of foreign fishing boats illegally fishing is increasing as they enter the autumn adult season.
