Vice President Harris criticized his rival, former President Trump, for violating his oath to defend the Constitution and stressed that anyone, regardless of their party, can join him if they agree to the president's duty to protect the Constitution.
Former Representative Liz Cheney, a Republican and leading anti-Trump figure and daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, attended the campaign.
Cheney says she can never put back in power to anyone who tolerates things like the Jan. 6 congressional rampage, and says she has never voted Democratic but will vote for Harris this time.
Vice President Harris' schedule is interpreted as an attempt to target center-right Republicans who are reluctant to Trump.
Vice President Harris plans to hold events in other competing states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan and Arizona, to highlight her commitment to protecting the constitution for anti-Trump voters and others.
