As housing prices in Seoul spread to the metropolitan area, transactions of high-priced apartments worth more than 1.5 billion won in Gyeonggi Province have increased significantly this year.

Real Today, a research firm specializing in real estate, analyzed the actual transaction price statistics of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and found that between January and August this year, there were 15,517 apartments traded for more than 1.5 billion won in Gyeonggi Province.

This is an increase of 103.6% compared to the same period last year.

In addition, the total transaction amount of apartments worth more than 1.5 billion won traded in Gyeonggi-do from January to August this year was 2.82 trillion 7.87 trillion won.

This is a figure that far exceeds the total of 1.86 trillion 344 billion won, or 1.59 million won, of 1,20 apartment transactions made in Gyeonggi Province last year.

In Gyeonggi-do this year, there were also a number of reported transactions, which are comparable to the three districts of Gangnam in Seoul, and it seems that the rise in housing prices, which started in Seoul, has spread to Gyeonggi-do.
