A senior presidential office official said in a phone call with YTN that the former senior administrator Kim caused great damage to the organization he was involved in, and that the current audit position is a public interest position.
However, he explained that if the government comes forward due to political issues, it could be seen as external pressure, so he is not involved.
Earlier, the recordings released by the Internet media "Sound of Seoul" included former senior administrator Kim telling a Seoul Sound reporter ahead of the National Power Convention in July that Kim Gun-hee was having a very hard time because of candidate Han Dong-hoon, and that she would like it if she planned it well this time.
