The Joint Chiefs of Staff said today (the 4th) that North Korea is again providing objects believed to be garbage balloons against the South, and there is a possibility that it will move to the metropolitan area, including northern Gyeonggi Province, considering the wind direction.
Some of the balloons were spotted in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and North Korea has provided garbage balloons 24 times so far today.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff asked to be careful about the drop of cargo, and if you find a fallen balloon, don't contact it and report it to a nearby military unit or police.
The Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency said it received 540 reports of sightings of garbage balloons from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. this morning, and 30 of them fell within the area in charge and handed them over to the military authorities.
On the 2nd, North Korea also provided 150 balloons containing household waste, and about 60 fell in Gyeonggi Province and Seoul.
