Chairman Woo met with Song Ki-chun, chairman of the special investigation committee on the Itaewon disaster, at the National Assembly's office and said, "I heard that there are difficulties because the special investigation committee has less authority than in the past and the duration of its activities is one year."
He then stressed that government ministries and agencies need to faithfully participate in the investigation and submit data during the fact-finding process, and that he once again asks related agencies to preserve and cooperate with them.
In response, Chairman Song asked for a lot of interest and support from the National Assembly, saying he would find out the truth and look at ways to support victims so that they could comfort the bereaved families who have suffered great pain over the past two years.
