A domestic construction company drew attention by creating an urban apiary at the construction site to restore the honey bee ecosystem.

Other construction companies have recently developed landscaping facilities using renewable energy, and there is a growing awareness of eco-friendliness in the construction industry.

Honeybees move diligently in the hive.

This is not a rural area, but a construction site in the downtown of the Seoul metropolitan area.

The construction company is operating an urban apiary to help honeybees recover their ecosystems, whose populations have plummeted worldwide.

This is the first domestic construction company to install a beekeeper at a construction site.

[Kim Jong-ho / DL E&C official: It's one of many ideas that came up after thinking about what kind of efforts can be made at the construction site to protect the environment and the ecosystem. To contribute a little to protecting the honey bee ecosystem, whose population has plummeted due to global warming....]

On-site staff pampered bees for four months, including running and catching them when their natural enemy wasps appeared.

As the on-site response to the downtown apiary is good, we are also considering expanding the apiary to other construction sites.

Integrated landscaping facilities have also emerged to reduce carbon emissions.

The construction company, which has developed four landscaping facilities, including benches using renewable energy, has decided to apply eco-friendly specialized spaces using these facilities to apartment complexes as early as the end of this month.

In the future, we plan to increase the energy independence rate of landscaping facilities in apartment complexes by combining various forms of renewable energy.

Recently, we decided to expand the use of eco-friendly ready-mixed concrete through collaboration with small and medium-sized ready-mixed concrete companies.

Some construction companies have designated "Personal Cup Use Day" to encourage the use of multiple containers instead of disposable ones.

This place is also working on recycling campaigns such as collecting old jeans and waste batteries.

Amid high interest in the environment, competition for ideas from construction companies for eco-friendliness is also heating up day by day.
