The fire in Mokpo apartment in South Jeolla Province...9 people don't smoke and 49 people evacuate.

At around 0:25 a.m. today (5th), a fire broke out in the basement of a 12-story apartment building in Yong-dong, Mokpo-si, Jeollanam-do, and it was extinguished in 40 minutes.

Nine residents were hospitalized for inhaling smoke from the fire, and 49 residents were evacuated.

In addition, some of the underground facilities were burned, causing property damage worth an estimated 7.7 million won.

Fire authorities believe the fire started at the electrical facility and are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
