Two days before the outbreak of the Gaza war, tens of thousands of people from around the world rallied in support of the Palestinians and called for a ceasefire.

Foreign media, including the Associated Press and Reuters, reported on the 5th local time that thousands gathered in Rome, Italy, waving Palestinian flags and chanting "freedom to Palestine."

Thousands of people marched in the Palestinian Regiment amid a large police presence in London, England, and tensions rose as they encountered counter-protesters.

Protesters also expressed solidarity with the Palestinians and Lebanon in Paris, France, Hamburg, Germany, Manila, Philippines, and Cape Town, South Africa.

The Associated Press predicted that the pro-Palestinian protests will peak on the 7th, the year of the war, as they continue.
