The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education said it has established the principle of guaranteeing human rights in the educational field through clear regulations on student human rights and 12 other members of the Democratic Party of Korea, including Kim Moon-soo.
He also agreed that there is no conflict between student human rights and teaching rights, saying, "It stipulates that student human rights are guaranteed to the extent that they do not infringe on the freedom and rights of others."
The bill aims to guarantee the current student human rights ordinance enacted by city and provincial offices of education by law and apply it collectively across the country.
The bill, which was referred to the National Assembly's Education Committee on the 19th of last month and completed the legislative notice by the 3rd, must go through the process of reviewing the Board of Education, deliberating at the plenary session, and transferring to the government.
