The number of cases in which a driver who caused a serious drunk driving accident was confiscated exceeded 100 in more than a year.

The Supreme Prosecutors' Office said that 444 vehicles were seized during the investigation phase by the end of last month, and 101 of them were confiscated as a result of implementing measures to eradicate drunk driving in cooperation with the National Police Agency since July last year.

Since the joint measures to eradicate drunk driving between the prosecution and the police have been implemented, the number of people sent to drunk driving deaths and injuries has decreased by 15% from an average of 335 people per month in the first half of last year to an average of 285 per month in the first half of this year.
