In response to the appeal of the
restaurant industry, Baedal Minjok, the No. 1 delivery app company, proposed a "differential fee" plan to apply brokerage fees differently depending on sales.
Let's take a brief look at what it's about.
If you order a hamburger to be delivered now, it's more expensive than what you eat at the store.
The restaurant industry is operating a "delivery app only" double price system, saying it is a burden because delivery fees are too high.
Looking at the major fast food companies, McDonald's and Lotteria were 18% more expensive and Burger King was 15% more expensive based on the set menu.
As the problem of delivery app fees has become so serious that exclusive prices have come out, the government launched and discussed a "win-win consultative body" in July involving three delivery app companies and four business groups.
In the midst of no significant results, the Korea Franchise Industry Association reported Baedal Minjok as a "monopoly company" at the end of September.
In the end, the Baedal Minjok came up with a "differential fee" as a win-win plan.
Details have not been confirmed, but the main point is to apply different commission rates depending on the size of sales.
For example, we apply the same 9.8% to the top companies in terms of sales, and then we lower them sequentially by 6% from the next section and 5% from the next section,
The
industry calls for small businesses to be lowered to the 2% range.
In response to the industry's No. 1 move, other delivery apps are reportedly planning a similar type of win-win plan.
The 6th meeting of the win-win consultative body is scheduled for tomorrow.
This time, attention is being paid to whether a specific win-win plan containing both the delivery app and the voices of the store will come out.
