North Korea has sent back trash balloons to the South.

It is the 25th time this year that the provocation has been resumed in three days.

In the midst of this, North Korea will hold our National Assembly-like Supreme People's Assembly today and start constitutional amendment.

I'll connect with a reporter to hear more about it. Reporter Lee Jong Won!

North Korea resumed its trash balloon provocation in three days, did you count how much it sent?

[Reporter]
The South's Joint Chiefs of Staff said that since early this morning, North Korea has renewed its supply of objects believed to be garbage balloons.

Balloons were identified in Seoul until the morning, but the specific number of provocation balloons remains to be seen.

Earlier, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said that considering the wind direction, there is a possibility of flying to the metropolitan area such as Gyeonggi-do, and asked them to report the fall without contacting it.

It is only three days since North Korea launched balloon provocations against the South, starting at the end of May, and the cumulative number of cases this year has reached 25.

Most recently, on the 4th, 320 balloons were launched from dawn to afternoon, and 120 of them were identified in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do.

Most of the contents were household garbage and there were no dangerous substances, but quite a few balloon drops were found in Seoul, and YTN also reported at the time, and citizens' fatigue is growing.

North Korea is holding a Supreme People's Assembly today and amending the Constitution, what do you think will be included?

[Reporter]
Yes, North Korea convened the Supreme People's Assembly in Pyongyang today.

As an organization corresponding to the Korean National Assembly, the constitution is expected to be revised in the direction of deleting provisions related to unification and establishing existing territorial provisions.

After Kim Jong-un defined inter-Korean relations as "two hostile countries" at the end of last year, he also ordered a constitutional amendment in January this year, which will be followed up in nine months.

In particular, as it is highly likely to be put forward as a justification for new provocations, we are interested in how specific the territorial, territorial, and airspace provisions will be.

At the same time, the Ministry of Unification predicted that it could also pass the 1991 Inter-Korean Basic Agreement, which defined inter-Korean relations as a special relationship aimed at unification.

Attention is also being paid to whether the North Korea-Russia Treaty signed in June will be ratified.

As North Korea has usually released internal news with a time lag, the results of the Supreme People's Assembly, including the amendment, are expected to be reported through state media as early as tomorrow.

I'm YTN Lee Jongwon from the Ministry of Unification.
