Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by the Gyeonggi Content Agency, 26 films have been confirmed to advance to the finals of the 1st AI International Film Festival in Korea.

'Korea AI International Film Festival' is the first and largest film festival in Korea that only participates in films created using Generative AI technology, and 2,67 films were received in four fields, including narrative, documentary, art & culture, and free form, and 16 domestic and 10 overseas films were added to the finals.

The announcement and award of the grand prize of 20 million won will take place at the main event to be held at KINTEX on the 25th.

Jeon Chan-il, chairman of the judging committee, said, "Over the past few months, the quality of video expression using AI, such as the continuity of characters and backgrounds, has improved significantly, and through this, we have seen the possibility of becoming a high-quality movie that even caught the probability of the story."

On the day of the AI Film Festival, various side events will also be held, including an AI conference where Kim Dae-sik, a KAIST professor, and others will participate as speakers, a conversation with the winning director (GV), and a screening of winning films.
