Yoon made the remarks at a luncheon held at Malakanyang Palace in the Philippines today, saying that it is very timely to establish a strategic partnership and that he will continue to work together more vigorously with the Philippines for economic, social and security cooperation.
Philippine President Marcos thanked the two countries for accepting the state visit and said they will work together for a sustainable future in the Asia-Pacific region based on common history and values.
The Philippines also said it is willing to strengthen sustainable partnerships with South Korea, adding that it looks forward to deepening cooperation in many ways.
