The Marine Corps said the signing ceremony was the first science and technology agreement signed with the military at Seoul National University, and was organized by Marine Corps Commander Kim Gye-hwan and Seoul National University President Yoo Hong-rim.
As a result, the Marine Corps will support the promotion of research projects such as defense policy and weapons system development, and Seoul National University will provide advice on major policies and weapons system technology development.
The Marine Corps then established the Marine Corps Advanced Technology Research Center for the development of defense science and technology for the first time in the Marine Corps at Seoul National University's Siheung Campus, adding that it will push for defense innovation 4.0 necessary for the power generation of the Marine Corps with Seoul National University.
Kim Gye-hwan, commander of the Marine Corps, emphasized that Seoul National University's research technology, which has world-class scientific and technological capabilities, will strengthen mutual exchange and cooperation so that it can be applied to the construction of Marine Corps power.
