The Yeoju Police Station in Gyeonggi Province said today (7th) that they arrested a 50-year-old man for illegally lending billions of won from a local agricultural cooperative.
Mr. A is accused of fraudulently lending 8.8 billion won from October 2020 to February the following year, breaking the internal loan regulations of Nonghyup after establishing three ghost companies.
Police are also investigating six former and current employees of local agricultural cooperatives who conspired with A on charges of breach of trust under the Specific Economic Crimes Aggravated Punishment Act, and plan to hand them over to the prosecution soon.
