Russia's Foreign Ministry said Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko met with North Korean Ambassador to Russia Shin Hong-chul on the 7th local time.
In a statement on its website, Russia's foreign ministry explained that Rudenko met at the request of the ambassador Shin to discuss ways to promote cooperation between the two sides in various fields.
It did not say which areas of cooperation the two sides specifically discussed.
