The ruling and opposition parties have been engaged in a war of nerves over the disclosure of an official document from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the mark of "third-degree secret" during the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee.

Rep. Kim Joon-hyung of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party unveiled an official document from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that analyzes the situation that South Korea will succeed in attracting the 2030 Busan Expo with a majority of the votes.

Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol protested, saying, "Where did you get the documents?" and People's Power lawmakers also protested that the exposure of class 3 confidential documents is a criminal act of waving the national flag and that the process of obtaining them should be checked.

On the other hand, Democratic Party lawmakers countered that the government audit is a place to monitor national policy and get necessary answers on behalf of the people, and that the essence should not be abandoned by the form.
