At the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, lawmakers from the ruling and opposition parties engaged in a war of words over Kim Gun-hee's alleged visit to the KTV Gugak Theater in October last year.

Opposition lawmakers claimed that Kim made a so-called "emperor's viewing," citing media reports that Kim and a small number of people watched the Korean traditional music performance without spectators.

In response, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Minister Yoo In-chon explained that Mrs. Kim attended the KTV event in the middle to encourage the performers.

The ruling party lawmakers also refuted that it was unfair to raise suspicions, saying that Kim Jung-sook's visit to India, the wife of former President Moon Jae In, was the "emperor's protocol."
