At around 2 a.m. today (8th), a 4.99-ton shrimp prospect fishing boat and a 1,998-ton oil carrier collided in waters 7.4 kilometers northeast of Samuldo Island, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.Two people on board
were injured in the accident, and another fishing boat official nearby rescued the injured in about 30 minutes.The fishing boat in the
accident was found to have entered Geoje Dadae Port at around 3 a.m.
The Coast Guard is investigating the details of the accident against fishing boats and oil carrier officials.
