In addition, Minjoo Party Chairman Jin Sung-joon criticized the Yoon Suk Yeol government for giving up free high school education to cut taxes for the rich.

Jin, chairman of the policy committee, said at a meeting of the government's audit countermeasures that the central government's budget for free high school education has been cut by 99.4% next year.

He then asked, "The power of the people is sufficiently supported by the budget of the metropolitan and provincial offices of education, but local education finances are unstable due to the large tax deficit this year, so what money is used to support free high school education?"

Chairman Jin said that the Democratic Party of Korea has already proposed a special extension bill on the burden of free high school education expenses, which is the sunset deadline this year, and added that it urges the government and the ruling party to change their forward-looking attitude.
