Please tell us about President Yoon's trip to Singapore.

President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Gun-hee arrived in Singapore last night after a two-day state visit to the Philippines.

This morning, we started the official schedule of our state visit to Singapore, starting with the welcoming ceremony held at the Singapore Parliament.
After meeting with Singapore's head of state, President Tarman,
held a South Korea-Singapore summit with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.

Earlier, the Presidential Office announced that it would evolve cooperation between the two countries in line with the changing times ahead of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Singapore.
The leaders of
appear to have discussed cooperation in the supply chain of strategic materials such as energy and bio in response to uncertainties in the international economy.

In a little while, the two leaders will hold a treaty and MOU signing and exchange ceremony together and make a joint press announcement.

In the afternoon, we will visit Korean companies in Singapore, attend the Korea-Singapore Business Forum, and continue our economic focus.

Singapore is the hub of finance, logistics and transportation in the world and our No. 2 investment and trade partner among the 10 ASEAN countries.
The Office of the President
expects to expand the level of cooperation between South Korea and Singapore, which have been engaged in trade and investment for half a century, to include artificial intelligence, digital and high-tech fields.

Tomorrow, President Yoon will give a lecture in Singapore to explain the meaning of international solidarity of the "August 15 Unification Doctrine" and then move to Laos, where the ASEAN Summit will be held.
