Today, President Yoon Suk Yeol and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong of Singapore signed a treaty and MOU and made a joint press conference after the summit.In his statement, President Yun
noted the commonality that both countries have emerged as global economic powerhouses by cultivating talented people and establishing high-tech and financial hubs despite the lack of resources.
At the same time, he said he decided to establish a "strategic partnership" next year, which marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
In particular, we decided to deepen cooperation in the field of high-tech, including artificial intelligence, and further strengthen the supply chain and energy cooperation of strategic materials in response to instability in the international economy.

[Yoon Suk Yeol / President: Based on the recently signed supply chain partnership agreement between the two countries, we decided to strengthen supply chain cooperation in bio, energy and high-tech industries and respond to supply chain disruptions together.Singapore Prime Minister Wong said the two countries have experienced rapid growth, stressing that both countries will contribute based on regional rules as much as they have been helped by regional peace and stability.
In the afternoon, President Yoon will visit Korean companies in Singapore, attend South Korea-Singapore Business Forum, and continue his economic focus.
The Office of the President expects this state visit to expand the level of cooperation between South Korea and Singapore, which have been working together for half a century focusing on trade and investment, to include artificial intelligence, digital and high-tech fields.
