A Korean author is listed in the study of 'miRNA discovery' winning the Nobel Prize.

This year's Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine went to Victor Ambrose and Gary Loveken, American biologists who contributed to the discovery of microRNAs, and it was confirmed that Koreans were named in important research achievements at the time.

According to the presentation of the Nobel Committee, among the two papers published in the international journal Cell in 1993 to explain the existence of microRNA, Korean Dr. Ha Il-ho was the co-author of LoveCon's paper.

Dr. Ha, a graduate of Seoul National University's Department of Food Engineering, worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School after a Ph.D. program at Rutgers University in the United States, and was involved when LoveCon conducted research at Harvard Medical School.Dr.

ha worked for bio companies such as the head of the Brain Science and Technology Research Institute at Inje University and the head of the Bio Basic Technology Center at Hanwha Chemical's Central Research Institute, and is currently consulting bio-startup ZYMedi, which develops new drugs.
