Actors Kim Jung-nan and Park Ji-hoon form a warm mother-son relationship on the screen. The healing movie "The World's Beautiful Audrey," which brings them together and reflects on the meaning of their family, will appear in theaters in October.

The press distribution preview and press conference of the movie "The World's Beautiful Audrey" were held today (8th) at 4:30 p.m. at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Young-guk and actors Kim Jung-nan, Park Ji-hoon, Kim Bo-young, Kim Ki-doo and Kim Yi-kyung attended to talk about the work.

{세상} is a family-inspired drama that tells the story of Ki-hoon, who was enjoying a small happiness while running a noodle restaurant with his mother Mi-yeon, becoming a true family in the process of reuniting with his younger brother Ji-eun, who lost contact with his mother's disease one day.

The director explained that he wanted to make a movie that remained in the audience's mind for a long time. Director Lee said, "I liked the movie I watched when I was young even if I was 40. I wanted to be able to recall my work even after 20 years, and my acquaintance's family history became the basis for the scenario," he said.

Kim Jung-nan played the role of his mother, Oh Mi-yeon, who is the prettiest being in the world, and Park Ji-hoon, a son, Kang Ki-hoon, who has a fond love for his mother, and met him in a mother-to-mother relationship. Kim Jung-nan struggles as a mother who does not lose her motherhood even as she gradually loses her memory as she suffers from Alzheimer's.

Kim Jung-nan said it was not easy to play a character who was the title role of the movie and experienced various situations and emotional changes, and that he once declined. Kim Jung-nan said, "If I can't express it well, I had a lot of worries because it could be someone who is actually suffering from such a disease."

However, he changed his mind due to the director's continuous love call. Kim Jung-nan said, "The director brought a really expensive Gongjindae and asked me to do it," and added, "He wanted to do it strongly, and if there is someone who wants to learn, he can do it. That's why I challenged myself," he said in the behind-the-scenes.

He referred to a lot of data to act as an Alzheimer's patient. Kim Jung-nan said, "It wasn't even possible to look around, but there were surprisingly many documentaries. YouTube helped me a lot and I looked up dozens of episodes. It was a difficult disease that could not be explained uniformly," he said.

This work became the first major screen movie in which Kim Jung-nan took on the title role. He said, "I was so embarrassed to see my face on the big screen when I was filming and watching a movie 20 years ago. "I feel like I'm naked because I'm the main character in this movie, but I'm nervous even though I've been acting for a long time," he confessed.

For Park Ji-hoon, who played as Kim Jung-nan's son, this work is also meaningful as his first screen debut. Park Ji-hoon said, "I'm grateful to work with great seniors and colleagues. I was so happy while filming. It's a beautiful work, and I have a lot of good memories."

As for his acting chemistry with Kim Jung-nan, he said, "I learned a lot from the eyes and energy I've never felt until now. It's hard to express exactly what kind of emotions I felt in words, but it was a time when I thought my senior and I were right and learned too much," he said.

The movie creates synergy with actors with different charms, including Kim Bo-young, who played Oh Mi-yeon's daughter Kang Ji-eun, Kim Yi-kyung, Kim Ki-doo, Hashi-eun, and Jeon Young-mi. They unraveled their respective narratives and solved the process of overcoming the conflict realistically.

The director hoped to pay attention to the healing message contained in the work. Director Lee said, "Our movie doesn't have fancy action or comedy to laugh at, but it's full of family love. I wanted to capture ordinary stories that could happen around us," he said, asking for affection.

The movie "The World's Beautiful Audrey" will be released in theaters on the 24th.
