The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has not indicted CEO Cho on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act.
The prosecution explained that considering the circumstances and contents of the remarks as a whole, there is room for it to be considered as a subjective expression of opinions for the purpose of evaluation, not a timely one.
Earlier in March, CEO Cho was accused by the police after saying at a foreign press conference, "My daughter returned her degree and medical license on her own because she respected the national law."
