At a win-win consultative meeting between delivery platforms and stores held at Shinhan Bank headquarters in Seoul today, Baemin proposed differential fee rates according to sales volume, but the stores refused, saying the fee rate offered by Baemin was too high.
At today's meeting, the organizations demanded measures to ease the burden on the store, such as commissions and delivery fees, to mark the store's burden, stop demanding Choi Hye treatment, and to share the location information of the delivery driver.
The government said it will hold its seventh meeting on the 14th for final coordination and conclude the discussion with speed after further consultation.
If the disagreement is not narrowed, the public interest committee will present an arbitration proposal, and if the delivery app does not accept it, it will be announced as a recommendation.
The government said it is taking a stern look at the market situation, including the dispute over fees between delivery platforms and stores, and said it will support the win-win plan to be reached within this month.
