In the parliamentary audit of the Ministry of Justice by the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee, the ruling and opposition parties clashed over allegations of so-called "KONAI preferential treatment" and "Myeong Tae-kyun's poll."

Lawmakers in the ruling party raised suspicions that Konaai, a local currency operating agency, received illegal preferential treatment, including taking "paradise income" that users did not use or refund, when Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, was governor of Gyeonggi Province.

In addition, referring to the alleged illegal operation of Konaai's advance payment, which was revealed in the audit by the Board of Audit and Inspection, he claimed that Gyeonggi Province, where representative Lee was governor in the past, covered it and moved on.

On the other hand, opposition lawmakers dug into suspicions that former People's Power lawmaker Kim Young-sun was nominated in exchange for a poll provided by Myung Tae-kyun, known as the chairman of the Future Korea Research Institute, to President Yoon Suk Yeol.

The opposition party stressed that there seems to be no reason for the suspected informant to report false manipulation against the government, which has two and a half years left in office, and that whether the claim is true or false, it cannot be overlooked.
