Israeli forces bombed the Syrian capital of Damascus, killing at least seven people, the Syrian state news agency reported.

According to Syrian authorities, a strong explosion was observed when three missiles fell to a residential building in the Majech area of Damascus on the evening of the 8th local time.

Local sources said seven civilians, including children and women, were killed and 11 wounded, while rescue teams were called to search for survivors under the rubble of the building.

But the U.K.-based Syrian human rights group said the building was frequented by senior officials and members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

Israel has continued airstrikes targeting military facilities in Syria since the war broke out on October 7 last year.
