The Board of Audit and Inspection, an independent organization that audits government departments and public institutions with enormous power, is the Board of Audit and Inspection.

If you have a work history of the Board of Audit and Inspection, it is easy to get re-employed after retirement, but in some cases, you have entered a company that participated in the audit.

At some point, the blade of gratitude turned into a shield for the audited organ.

The issue of reemployment of retired auditors is not yesterday and today.

As the work is broader and more influential than other public offices, the relevance of the work should be carefully considered, and retirees are easily re-employed after a job screening.

In particular, the YTN report found that there was a case of going to the audit position of the audited organization, which participated in the audit directly.

It happened at the National Railroad Corporation, an agency under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and both the current and previous standing auditors were found to have participated in audits related to the corporation twice in the five years before retirement.

To put it simply, I got re-employed even though it was a place that was related to work.

The corporation explained that there is no room for influence, saying that the standing auditor is not currently performing cooperation or response work when auditing the Board of Audit and Inspection, but

Looking at the actual standing auditor's work, it has been confirmed that he went on two business trips for business consultations with the Board of Audit and Inspection.

Nevertheless, it was approved for employment by the Government Public Service Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Personnel Management, as it falls under the case of "proven professionalism and less likely to exert influence."

The Board of Audit and Inspection also said that they sent the details of their participation in the audit of the corporation to the Public Service Ethics Committee, and that they were legally reviewed and employed.

[A source from the Board of Audit and Inspection: In re-employment, we provide information/ and restrict employment only when it is highly likely to affect employment. (Public Officials) The Ethics Committee will make a comprehensive judgment.... ]

Unfortunately, all six standing auditors of the billion-dollar annual salary employed by the National Railroad Corporation over the past decade were former auditors who served as executives.

It is burdensome because it is an institution where a senior person who has already worked in the same workplace works, but I wonder if an objective audit would have been possible if all the former employees had kept the position.

[Jeon Hyun-hee / Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party of Korea: When his junior comes and audits the institution, he may exert undue influence on it and it is an issue that can hinder fair audit..]

'A place I can go after I retire.'
It is pointed out that the Public Service Ethics Committee, which conducts employment screening, should come up with stricter standards to eradicate this perception that could lead to poor audits just like
