If the union goes on strike, the Busan Metropolitan Government plans to put in replacement personnel other than essential maintenance personnel for urban railways lines 1, 2, and 3, and operate every four to five minutes during rush hour as usual.
For the rest of the time, the dispatch interval is increased from 10 minutes to a maximum of 22 minutes to operate at 50% compared to normal times.
From the day of the strike, the car day system will be lifted, and taxis will be intensively placed around urban railway stations.
If the Busan subway union strike actually materializes, it will be the first time in five years since 2019.
The union is demanding a wage increase of 4.8% for general workers and an increase of 63 people who will be responsible for safety, while the management has proposed a 1.5% wage increase and a discussion on recruiting manpower after organizational diagnosis.
