The Korea Insurance Development Institute said 27 out of 50 companies have decided to participate in computerization through face-to-face consultations with electronic medical records and EMR companies.
Although there has been no disagreement between EMR companies and the insurance industry over the cost of simplifying claims for real-life insurance, the participation rate has increased as the insurance industry added about 5 billion won.
The total number of customer hospitals from the 27 companies that have expressed their intention to participate is 1,600, and including them, the participation rate in simplified services will rise to 69% and 78% in terms of claims.
The Korea Insurance Development Institute believes that more than a thousand hospitals can be linked within this year, and the participation rate is expected to reach more than 60% and more than 70% based on the number of claims.
According to the revised Insurance Business Act, computerization of claims for loss insurance will be implemented for hospitals, health centers, and hospital-level nursing institutions with more than 30 beds from the 25th.
