Electric car in Jeonju residential and commercial underground parking lot...300 evacuated.

More than 300 residents were evacuated after an electric car that was charging in a residential and commercial underground parking lot caught fire.

A car caught fire at around 3 a.m. today (9th) in a parking lot on the 4th basement floor of a residential and commercial complex in Jang-dong, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do.

All 300 residents were evacuated immediately after the fire broke out, and no one was injured.

There were a total of 2,400 vehicles in the parking lot, and the sprinklers were activated and the fire extinguished in about an hour, so only one vehicle burned down.

It was investigated that the vehicle on fire started charging around 6 p.m. last night.

Police and fire authorities will investigate the cause of the fire.
