Earlier, Brazil's Supreme Court decided to remove some X accounts and posts, citing a crackdown on fake news, which X did not implement, calling it a "press freedom crackdown."

U.S. billionaire Elon Musk, owner of X, has also rawly criticized the Supreme Court justice for deciding to remove some accounts and posts, calling him the "worst offender in the guise of a judge."

X, however, changed its stance last month, blocking the accounts of nine people accused of spreading hate messages, appointing legal representatives, paying 28.6 million reais in unpaid fines and 6.9 billion won in our money.

Brazil, South America's largest country by population size, is considered an important overseas market for X.

Brazilian X users are estimated to be at least 20 to 40 million, local media reported.
