Amid the parliamentary conflict for eight months, the government has repeatedly urged the medical community to participate in the dialogue without setting conditions and agendas.

Park Min-soo, the second vice minister of Health and Welfare, said today that at a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, he asked the ruling and opposition parties to participate in the special committee on medical reform, and that complicated problems can be solved through dialogue.

In addition, the medical community said again that they would like to recommend members of the Medical Human Resources Supply and Demand Estimation Committee by the 18th.

Regarding the emergency care system, the government said deaths in the second quarter of this year increased by 1.1% from the same period last year, but it is not a significant difference.

The total number of emergency room deaths from March to July was 896 fewer than in the same period last year, it added.
